Deciding on Flowers

As every bride knows the next step in planning a wedding is picking out the flowers. This step can be a lot of fun, but it can also be overwhelming. So off to the different shops I go with my aunt who is my florist to see what flowers that I like and what would make a good bouquet for the wedding.

Here is my aunt and I looking through some books at the flower shop to get an idea of what we are looking for....

Ohhh, I like this flower, look at it :)

Here I am looking at the display case to see if I like any of the flowers in the bouquets that are on display.

This looks like a good flower choice....

Back to more booklets and choices to see what else we can add that is in the right color scheme....

After looking at all of the fresh flowers to get an idea of what I want for the wedding, we decide to go buy some artificial flowers so we can play with them and get an idea of what a possible bouquet will look like once everything is all put together and beautiful.

This is a possibility of what my bouquet might look like. The flowers are going to be fabulous. I know Brenda is going to do such a wonderful job with all of the flowers. I am so excited to see the final product at the wedding. One more thing marked off of the list and one step closer to the wedding.

Miracles and Faith

Have you seen miracles in your lifetime? I have and without a doubt I’ve known it was only God’s grace and Him performing that miracle that the situation changed. I have been raised in the church and have seen many different miracles throughout my lifetime, but one of the more recent ones was when my youngest son was born. He was born at 30 weeks but had quit growing at 28 weeks gestation. He was only 2 pounds and 5 ounces when he was born. Now, I know that science and the medical field did everything they could, but I also know that it is a true miracle that he is alive today because there is only so much that humans can do on their own. It is a miracle that I survived that pregnancy also. I remember being at Heaven’s gates the night before my son was born. I was on bed rest in the hospital for 12 days before my son was born. New blog

This was a challenge trying to get this blog set up, but I wanted to start a blog about my long-distance dating journey. My boyfriend lives about six hours from where I live so it has been an interesting challenge trying to figure out the logistics of when we can see each other since our work schedules are completely opposite. We met about eight years ago when he lived in the same town that I live in. We attended the same church at the time and that is how we met. After dating on and off for a few years he accepted a position in a new store that was opening with his company and decided to move away. We remained friends and talked on the phone occasionally but decided that dating just wasn't going to work at that time. 1 Peter 1: 7-9 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
