Our first camping trip together!! Part 2

So one of the most fun things about Wallowa Lake is going up to the store for an ice cream cone.  They have wonderful and huge ice cream cones. Here is a picture of my parents, Nathan, his mom and brother and a couple of our friends enjoying their ice cream. My mom and a couple of our friends enjoying the ice cream.  Such a fun time :) Here is Nathan and his dad enjoying a cup of coffee outside of his parents camper. Nathan is looking at his phone getting ready for a golf tournament that he will be going to on Monday. He has his golf club out to practice with it.  I think he is trying to find the nearest golf course to us. So I decided to do a little bit of shopping.  Isn't this such a cute little store.  It is called Heidi's Towne Shoppe. Nathan is chatting with our friend Henry. Both just enjoying the scenery. On Sunday, we had a potluck with the families that we know that we're camping or had come up for the day. Here is my nephew Trevin t...

Our first camping trip together!!! Part 1

So it has been a tradition in both my family and my husband's family to go camping at Wallowa Lake State Park in Oregon for Labor Day weekend the past several years.  So this year, Nathan and I went camping over Labor Day weekend for our first camping trip together.  We had a lot of fun camping with both our families and several other families that we know. Here is a picture of our camp site.  We tented it this year. Here is Nathan, we were taking a few minutes to look at the fish in the creek. Here I am also enjoying a few minutes to look at the fish in the creek. My parents loved cooking breakfast outside.  The best part is that you can just drop everything on the ground while you are working on not worry about it. (Notice all the egg shells on the ground) Dad is running away, he doesn't want to have to clean up the mess that they made.... Okay, he decided it would be best to go back and clean up the mess from breakfast. Breakfast cooking away....

Our first house together!!!

Here are some pictures of Nate and my first apartment together.  This first picture is of our living room. You can tell Nate bought the tv : )  And when we aren't using the exercise ball to exercise, it makes a great footrest.  Perfect heighth for our couch. Here is our kitchen.  It is not very big, but it suits our purposes quite well. This is our dining room.  I like decorating my kitchen and dining area with apples and in red, white and black. Here is the hallway leading to our guest room. This is our guest bathroom and the picture below is a sideways look of our office. Our apartment is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  It is a good size for our first home together. We are having fun getting it all set up how we like it :)

Off on our trip

Now that the big day is over, it is time to go on our honeymoon and get away for awhile.  Time for the fun :)  So we headed out and drove to Anacortes, Washington on Sunday and stayed the night there.  Then bright and early Monday morning we got coffee and got on the Ferry to cross over to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  The ferry ride took about 3 hours. This is the sign at the ferry dock.  It also switches and tells what time the ferry will be arriving. Nate got my picture when I walked over to look at the water :) And I got Nate's picture walking over from the car to check out the sights.  We had about a 30 minute wait once we got our car in line until the ferry arrived. Here is a picture of the ocean and the land that we went by.  It was a beautiful day. It was a pretty ferry ride.  More pictures soon to come!!!

Finally made it to the big day :)

So we finally made it to the big day. Here is what the decorations of the aisle turned out.... And a picture of the flowers that were up front... My mother Helen on the left and Mother-in-law to be on the right, Carol. Here are my nieces and nephews.  The ring bearers and flower girls :)  Aren't they adorable??? The girls and I posing for the camera before the fun begins.  Doesn't everyone look fantastic? My brothers and I. My parents, brothers and I. Don't my parents look happy? Nathan and I saying our vows. And the marriage license :)  It is official! We made it through the day!!!

Now to decorate the reception location....

The next step is decorating for the reception.  So off we head for our next adventure.  Here is a picture of my future sister-in-law Amy.  She is helping to get the candy buffet all ready to go... Didn't the candy buffet turn out beautiful? It was so much fun planning this... Here is my mom putting the finishing touches on the cake table. And the final result.... It is all ready for the party to begin!!! It will be a wonderful reception :)
