Little things in Life!

It's the little things in life that are the most important!!! Do you ever get up and want to just get a hot cup of coffee or tea and a good book and curl up and just read and drink your hot drink and enjoy your day by doing nothing else?  I sometimes think, "Oh, it would be so nice to just have a lazy day today."  Then reality sets in and my kiddos wake up and before you know it, it is time to start the day.  Laundry, dishes, feeding kids, cleaning up and all the millions of little things that we moms do every day.   You know, I love my family more than anything and sometimes it would be nice to just have that lazy day or just do nothing or anything other than all the adulting things we have to do, but I wouldn't trade my life for anything.  I love the time I get to spend with my kiddos, even if it is a million things I have to do.  So I get my cup of coffee and usually make my older kiddo a hot cup of cocoa and we start our day just enjoying our hot d...

Boy Mom

At the end of the month my son turns 6 years old.  Where has the time gone???? It seems like it was just yesterday that we were waiting for our little one to make his appearance and now he is a little boy and not even a toddler any longer.  It is so hard to believe that he is growing up so fast.  We now have another little one that is almost 2.  One of our local parks has a story walk so sometimes we like to go and walk and read the story.  Check your local parks to see if any of them have a story walk, it is worth checking out. It has been such an adventure to be a boy mama.  How many boy moms are out there that feel that way?  He is so full of energy and always on the go.  We are homeschooling now and he is working hard at Kindergarten.  It has been quite the adventure of learning different learning styles that work best for him. We are currently working on learning to read and that has been so much fun to see him learning.  Some day...

We are enjoying life....What are you doing to enjoy your life?

Wow, it has been awhile since I've blogged.  I think it is time to revive this and start up again.  I have 2 little boys that keep me on the run but it is so much fun.  We like to spend a lot of time outdoors and my boys are your typical little guys. They love dirt and rocks and fishing. Covid19 has definitely had an impact on our life, but not because of anyone getting sick.  It has caused us to focus more on spending time out camping and fishing and just enjoying nature a whole lot more than we had been prior to the pandemic.  It has changed our priorities and helped us to focus more as a family. We do really miss our Play land time when the weather is not cooperative, but we have been enjoying the parks and just being outside more.  What has this pandemic changed for you? Tulips~n~Lace

Firstborn Children and God's Grace

I have been thinking about firstborn children lately. Do you have a child or children? My son just turned 3 last month and I was thinking about how God gives us so much grace with our children. Especially, our first child because even if you have been around kids forever it's just not the same as being the one responsible for  how your child grows and learns and becomes the adult they are meant to be. Sometimes it seems like the days will never end,  your child just wants to complain about everything or they just want you to sit and hold them all day. Those times it's hard when you need to do dishes and laundry and clean the house and all of the other  millions of things we as parents/wives/women have to do. Then there are those times you look back and realize  just how fast time is going.  It is so hard for me to believe that my child is already 3.  It seems like it was just a few months ago that I had him. Recently, I ...

What are you passionate about?

I love being a homemaker and stay at home/work at home mother.  There is nothing more fulfilling than getting to watch my son grow up and learn all the new things that I would miss if I were working a 9-5 type of job.  This was my office yesterday while my son was taking a nap.  I was enjoying the sunshine in my backyard while getting some work done. If you are wondering what I do, I have a shop with my mother that we sell handmade and vintage items.  I also am a consultant with a direct sales company.  I love both jobs and am always working at improving myself and my businesses. The other day I was speaking to my mother-in-law and she was telling me how excited she was that she just bought a new vacuum cleaner.  This was the best vacuum that she has ever used (and she has went through all of the top named vacuums). She was so excited she had to demonstrate how it worked for her husband when he came home, her oldest son was out to visit them for the ...

It is a New Year 2016!!!!

Hello Blog World, I just realized today that it has been awhile since I have been on here, so I thought I would write a quick post to say hello.  My newest project that I have been working on this week is learning how to knit socks on a loom.  Here is a picture of the loom I am using to start out with :) My first baby sock.  It needs a little work and this picture is with it inside out so I can sew the toes together. Have you tried out the knitting loom series?  It is so much fun and so much easier if you are not a knitter.  I love to crochet but sometimes I like the knitted look better.  I haven't had has much time to write with my 11 month old and trying to get to businesses up and going.  I love both businesses and am wanting to spend this month getting myself more organized to I can devote the time that I need to each business and still have time to spend with my family.   I love being a stay at home/work at home m...

Feeling Grateful for Family Today

How many of you in blogger land are stay at home moms or work at home moms?  I love having the chance to stay home with my little one.  He is 5 months old this next Tuesday and he just changes so much every day that I am grateful to get a chance to watch him grow.  I also decided to sell Jamberry Nails on the side as an Independent Consultant to bring in a little extra money for the family and I have an Etsy shop that my mom and I both work. Making projects to sell on Etsy gives me a chance to do something creative while my little one is sleeping or when my husband is home to help watch him.  Selling Jamberry gives me an outlet to talk to other adults when I am home with my little one. It is not always easy but it is so worth it and I wouldn't trade my life for anything.  Today I am just feeling very grateful and thoughtful since I know so many people who are fighting health battles and challenges right now.  Love your family, enjoy the time y...
