Wedding Planning

There are so many things involved in planning a wedding. It has been a fun experience, but then at times it does get a little bit overwhelming. The other day a coworker was asking me if I had bought my wedding dress yet. When I informed her that I had not yet found my wedding gown, but I have found the bridesmaid dress that I want my girls to wear she informed me that she was amazed that I was more concerned with picking out my bridesmaid dresses before I had picked out my wedding gown.

The truth is that it was a lot of fun picking out the bridesmaid dress and since my bridesmaids are a little bit spread out (one lives in Nevada) it was easier to pick out dresses online so all of the girls could get a chance to look at them before I decided on them. Now the real fun begins as I start searching for my wedding gown. I am really excited to continue the search. So many friends and coworkers have suggested good stores to try and find the perfect gown.

I have even ordered my flower girl dresses. I had to order them online since I need a size 18 months up to a size 10 in girls. My three nieces are going to be my flower girls. They are so excited that they get to dress up and look like princesses. My nieces are aged 18 months, 6 years and 7 years old. It is going to be so much fun to have them in the wedding. I am having my two nephews age 3 and 8 as ring bearers. They get to wear little tuxedos.

So many things to plan, but it has been fun. Hopefully I can keep myself organized throughout the whole process.

Miracles and Faith

Have you seen miracles in your lifetime? I have and without a doubt I’ve known it was only God’s grace and Him performing that miracle that the situation changed. I have been raised in the church and have seen many different miracles throughout my lifetime, but one of the more recent ones was when my youngest son was born. He was born at 30 weeks but had quit growing at 28 weeks gestation. He was only 2 pounds and 5 ounces when he was born. Now, I know that science and the medical field did everything they could, but I also know that it is a true miracle that he is alive today because there is only so much that humans can do on their own. It is a miracle that I survived that pregnancy also. I remember being at Heaven’s gates the night before my son was born. I was on bed rest in the hospital for 12 days before my son was born. New blog

This was a challenge trying to get this blog set up, but I wanted to start a blog about my long-distance dating journey. My boyfriend lives about six hours from where I live so it has been an interesting challenge trying to figure out the logistics of when we can see each other since our work schedules are completely opposite. We met about eight years ago when he lived in the same town that I live in. We attended the same church at the time and that is how we met. After dating on and off for a few years he accepted a position in a new store that was opening with his company and decided to move away. We remained friends and talked on the phone occasionally but decided that dating just wasn't going to work at that time. After a few years, we decided to try the dating thing again and now it has been about three months and we see each other about every two weeks or so and talk on the phone to each other just about every night. 1 Peter 1: 7-9 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. I heard these lines in a song recently and it got me to thinking about how sometimes situations in our lives seem so impossible and out of control. We just don't know what to do about it or what to think about that situation.
