Search for the perfect cake backdrop

I wanted to get a backdrop for my cake table at my reception.  So my mom and I started searching and researching to see what would be the perfect backdrop for my cake table.  Now you can rent a backdrop, but you must put all the material and all of the lights on yourself, you are only renting the stand.  So we were off to see what would be the best option for what we were wanting to do at the reception. 

My mom found these really cool trellises on sale and so we were off to the races.....

The first step was to pain them white since they were just plain wood....


Here is my dog, Snickers watching the whole process....


She thinks she should help out with the painting :)


The next step after we got them painted white, was to put white lights on them so that the light will show through....


I am very focused on what I am doing in this picture...


After the lights were put on the arch, it was then time to put the material on them to give them some color....



I am thinking really hard about where to put my next staples at in this picture....


Here is an idea of what it will look like when we are done with it, still trying to decide if I need to add a bow of white or just leave it all purple now....





For the final picture, you will have to wait until after the wedding when I blog about the cake table :)

    I think you should get a second job. organizing weddings and wedding showers you would be good at it and the extra money wouldnt be bad either right??

Exodus 14:14  says "The Lord will fight for you and you shall hold your peace." Impossible!!!

1 Peter 1: 7-9 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see  him  not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith,  even  the salvation of  your  souls. Broken Glass Jewelry

Do you ever feel like you have been put on a shelf and no one ever truly sees you anymore?  Do you feel like your life has been shattered and you aren't sure how to put the pieces back together or even if you want to try and put them back together again?  Life can be messy and stressful and difficult, but it can also be beautiful amidst all of the struggles.
