Off for an adventure at the Farmer's Market!!!

This last weekend my parents came down to visit my husband and I.  We had
such an awesome visit and so much fun hanging out together.  On Saturday we drove down
to Boise to the Farmers Market.  Here is a picture of Nate and I walking up to the market.

My mom got a picture of us from the side as we were looking around at
all of the booths.

A friend of ours sells pies at the market every summer so we had to stop
and buy one to enjoy for dessert that night.  :)  Here is my dad, Nathan and I (I am holding
the pie so they won't be tempted to eat it while we are looking around).

Mom and Dad posing for a picture in front of the water fountain.
We were having such a fun time.

Nathan and Dad are trying to decide who is going to get
to carry the pie now!!!!

Now it is time for us to find the perfect pumpkin for our house.
Dad is holding the door open for Mom.  Wasn't that sweet of him??

Mom and I couldn't resist being silly and getting a picture
of Dad and Nate talking in the car as we are headed off
to our next stop.

It was an awesome weekend visiting and just enjoying the
wonderful fall weather that we were having that day. Now it is time to go have
some coffee and enjoy that apple pie that we just bought!!!!

Impossible!!!

1 Peter 1: 7-9 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see  him  not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith,  even  the salvation of  your  souls. What is your impossible situation?  What is your I need a miracle situation?  I heard these lines in a song recently and it got me to thinking about how sometimes situations in our lives seem so impossible and out of control.  We just don't know what to do about it or what to think about that situation. I read the above scripture in 1 Peter last week and it got me to thinking about how gold is refined by going through fire, diamonds are mined from deep within the earth.  We wouldn't have the beautiful jewelry and precious me...

New blog

This was a challenge trying to get this blog set up, but I wanted to start a blog about my long-distance dating journey.  My boyfriend lives about six hours from where I live so it has been an interesting challenge trying to figure out the logistics of when we can see each other since our work schedules are completely opposite.  We met about eight years ago when he lived in the same town that I live in.  We attended the same church at the time and that is how we met.  After dating on and off for a few years he accepted a position in a new store that was opening with his company and decided to move away.  We remained friends and talked on the phone occasionally but decided that dating just wasn't going to work at that time.  After a few years, we decided to try the dating thing again and now it has been about three months and we see each other about every two weeks or so and talk on the phone to each other just about every night.  Well that is enough hi...

Perfect Tote Bag

After searching for quite awhile I have finally found the perfect tote bag.  I wanted a small tote that I could take as a carry-on if I fly or that would be an easy bag to take if I was going out of town for just a weekend and did not need to pack for a week (which I am really good at doing even when not necessary).  So I started a search and went the rounds of all the stores in town to see if I could find something that I liked that was a good size.  I wanted a tote that was on wheels and had a handle so I didn't have to carry it all the time, but one that was smaller than my suitcase that I normally take when I go out of town.  So finally after going the rounds of all the stores several times, I have finally found the tote that is just right for me.  It has a handle, is not very large (but large enough to take everything that I will need) and it has wheels.  I am also pretty sure that I will be able to take it as a carry-on when I fly to Boise in a couple...
