Nampa/Boise Trip

I had so much fun in Nampa this past weekend.  I drove down Friday after work and hung out with Nathan that night and then Saturday we drove into Boise and went to breakfast at Goldy's (a little breakfast place that everyone loves down there).  While we waited for our table (about 30 minutes) we decided to walk around the Farmer's Market that was going on over on the next block.  After having fun at the Farmer's Market and then having some delicious breakfast, Nathan took me to the Idaho Botanical Gardens.  It was such a neat place.  It will be beautiful in the Spring and Summer when all of the flowers are blooming, but it had several flowers still blooming and the autumn colors were beautiful.  Since it is getting close to Halloween, the Botanical Gardens were having a Scarecrow Stroll.  Several different people had made Scarecrows and you could walk around the gardens and vote on your favorite top three choices.  The scarecrows were all very creative.  Here are a few p

Off to Nampa

The weekend has finally arrived.  I am heading down to Nampa as soon as I leave work this afternoon.  The weather forecast states it is supposed to rain this weekend, but I am really hoping that it will just be cloudy with no rain until I am back home safe again at the end of the weekend.  It has been a fun adventure trying to decide what clothes to pack to take on my trip.  Especially since my boyfriend doesn't want to tell me exactly what we are planning on doing.  So some clothes packed for outside, some for going out to dinner and some just because it is supposed to be cold.  Does anyone else ever have the issue of trying to decide whether to pack for cold weather or warm weather; nice clothes or just cute clothes?  I always end up packing for a week when I am really only going for two days so I am trying to learn to only pack for two days with maybe a couple extra outfits instead of a week's worth of outfits for two days.  Well, back to work so I can finish my day so I can

The Quest for the Perfect Tote Bag

I started a quest to find the perfect tote bag for when I go on weekend trips.  I have a nice suitcase that is good for long trips but I decided that I really didn't need to pack enough stuff for a week when I am only going on a trip for two days.  So I decided to go to the store and see what was out there.  I needed to go to Wal-mart anyway so I thought I would see what king of luggage and totes that they had, Wal-mart had nice suitcases that were the same size or larger than the one I had or they had open tote bags that you can buy in the purse aisle.  I am wanting a bag that has wheels, but is about the size of a duffell bag.  I then went to Ross and found a nize bag that had the features I was wanting, but I wanted to check a few more stores before buying something to see what options I had.  So the next day I went to a few more stores with the same results that Wal-Mart had, either the bags were too large or open without wheels.  So I head back to Ross to buy the bag that I li

New blog

This was a challenge trying to get this blog set up, but I wanted to start a blog about my long-distance dating journey.  My boyfriend lives about six hours from where I live so it has been an interesting challenge trying to figure out the logistics of when we can see each other since our work schedules are completely opposite.  We met about eight years ago when he lived in the same town that I live in.  We attended the same church at the time and that is how we met.  After dating on and off for a few years he accepted a position in a new store that was opening with his company and decided to move away.  We remained friends and talked on the phone occasionally but decided that dating just wasn't going to work at that time.  After a few years, we decided to try the dating thing again and now it has been about three months and we see each other about every two weeks or so and talk on the phone to each other just about every night.  Well that is enough history for now.  I am getting r
