Merry Christmas!!!!

This week hubby took me to the Winter Wonderland in Caldwell. I love there sign so I had to take a picture of it to start my blog post :)     There is a river through this park that they put little boats to look like they are floating on the water....  '   This is one of the bridges that you can walk across.  They really went all out on decorating....   Of course, we couldn't go to the park without getting a picture of the two of us.   I love how they decorated this tree with blue and white and then placed an American Flag on the top of it.   More pictures of all of the lights.....   This picture is a little blurry of the other bridge, but I love how the lights reflect on the water.   They strung blue lights above the water connecting the two sides.   Here is a close up picture of the tree with the flag on it.   It was cold out, but we had so much fun walking around and looking at all of t

Christmas Decorating

Today I decided to get out my Christmas tubs and start decorating my apartment for Christmas.  I was planning to check and make sure that the Christmas lights were working so we can hang them up outside tomorrow, but the first tub that I opened had all of my Christmas village items in it.  So I decided that would be more fun than checking lights, so I put up the village.   Here is a picture of part of the Christmas village...I have been collecting it for a few years but I am limited on space so I can only put up a small portion of the village.   The next thing to uncover was my Christmas wallhanging.  Don't you just love all of the fun stuff at Christmas time?  I love all of the decorations.      Here is a picture of what I have on the table below my wallhanging.  This is what you see as you enter my house.   And then Hubby came home from work and brought me this beautiful poinsettia. He didn't know I had started putti

Costume Party

So for Halloween this year a group of our friends decided to have a costume party/game night. We had so much fun hanging out and eating yummy food.   Here is a picture of our friend Bo (on the left) dressed up as a police officer and Bo and Kristina (on the right) both dressed as police officers...Aren't they cute?       Nate decided to dress as an army man and I dressed up as a cheerleader for our costumes  :)   Don't you just love my blonde hair????      Our friends Ryan and Alyssia dressed up as the people from the movie The Goonies.   It is always so much fun to get together with a group of friends and this was even more fun seeing what costumes every one came up with this year. Fun Mother and Daughter Shopping Trip

My parents came down to visit us last weekend.  We had so much fun just hanging out and visiting and doing a whole lot of nothing (because isn't that what a vacation is all about?) My mom and I had decided that we were both in need of new earrings so we decided to go shopping while she was in town.   Here is my mom with a couple of fun crazy earrings that we were debating about getting....      I thought these earrings would match Nathan's car perfectly. Do you think I should get these for those fun times when we are out in his lime green car????     After we had finally decided on some earrings and had fun looking at all of the other items in the store, we decided we should go check out Hobby Lobby.  My mom is hosting a table for a Christmas brunch this year and we needed some inspiration and ideas on how to decorate her table.  So off we go....   So we start in the Christmas aisle with all of the stockings, just looking for tha

Summer time fun

I went to visit my family for the weekend this summer.  We decided to go the park for a picnic since it was such a beautiful sunny day.   Here is a picture of my with my sister-in-law Amy. We are enjoying the day, getting ready to eat. An awesome picture of the Grandparents and grandkids together....   Here is my Nephews Brayden and Trevin, Niece Cheyenne and there Grandma Gayle....   Doesn't Trevin look cute with his bike.  He just couldn't put it down long enough for pictures.   It was a fun day and just a few pictures to let you see how beautiful the day was at the park.

Food art for a baby shower :)

My friend Kristina is due to have her baby in September so we had a baby shower for her this past week. I was helping with the food and decided to create a watermelon baby carriage.  So I got my watermelon and cut into it and scooped out all of the insides. Here is a picture of the watermelon after I started carving the sides to give it some character.      I then added a handle and used orange slices as wheels...      Once I got it to this point, I cut up the watermelon that I had scooped out into little squares to put in the basket...      Here is a picture of the final product at the shower..It turned out really well.     I also found a recipe for cheesecake stuffed strawberries on pinterest that I wanted to try so I got a package of strawberries...     And washed them off and put them on a cookie sheet to dry....   I then made the cheesecake filling for the berries...     And here is a picture of so
