 This year I decided to have a Cookie Swap at my house.  So I made these fun invitations to invite my friends to it.....   And then I had them email me their recipes so I could make these fun little recipe books to give each of them.        Here is the first page of the recipe book :)     Then I decided to decorate the kitchen before everyone came.  The theme was "Aprons"   I draped aprons over each chair so the guests could choose one to wear at the party if they didn't own one.   I found these fun gift bags with the chevron design for the guests to take their cookies home in...   My husband was helping me clean and get ready for the party.  He decided to take a break to get a cup of coffee :)   The girls are going around the table to collect their cookies to take home with them....   Here is a picture of the table with the goodies on them...   And a picture of us at the par

While my parents were in town for the weekend we decided that we would go to the pumpkin patch and to a corn maze.  So off we went to Linder Farms... Here is a picture of Nathan as we were entering the farm... Nathan and I as we are starting to walk around. We went late in the evening so it was starting to get chilly but Nathan was warm and didn't want to wear his coat at this point in time.... Mom and Dad while we were in line waiting to buy our tickets to get in...I forgot my camera and used my cell phone to take this picture so it  didn't turn out the best... For Halloween, the girls at my job decided to dress up as lawn ornaments (from the movie Gnomio and Juliet).  So I am going to be a  pink flamingo....the picture below is my mom trying to make a beak for me..... here are all of the supplies to get us started  on the beak.... We finally have a finished product :) A side view so you can see the full effect..... And this is the full outfit... I am trying to decide how a flamingo  stands, although here I look like a chicken trying to peck the ground for food... I think it will be a fun day at work that day ;) One of our other projects while my parents were visiting was to polish a silver tea set that my mom owns and is going to use for a Christmas Brunch that she is hosting... Look how tarnished this set is.... So we bought some TarnX and put on  some old clothes and decided to work  together so we could chat while we polish.

This weekend my parents came to visit us. My mom wanted to get pictures of the house and of me opening  the door when they arrived. :) Here is our house as they are driving up to it... Our front door... This is me opening the door to welcome my parents here :) I am getting ready for us to go out shopping now  that they have arrived. Here is a picture of our stuff that we need to  make some of the projects we have planned for this weekend. This picture is a little blurry because I was trying to figure out how to use Mom's camera but she is showing off some of the stuff that we are going to be using for our projects... Mom is studying up how to change the setting on the camera for me :) Saturday morning we decided to hit a few crafts fairs in the area.  I love how the sun is highlighting me ;) Here are a few of our finds (we needed the wreath frame to make us a new wreath) And m
