Baby Coming!

Our first baby is due in January, so we have been trying to get everything ready for a new little one.  It has been fun trying to find different items to fix up the room.  We decided to be surprised and not find out early if we are having a boy or girl.  So for now trying to find neutral colors on items and just having fun deciding how to best decorate has been an adventure. I have been having fun making items to sell on our Etsy store that our baby related since we found out we were pregnant.  Here are a few items that we have for sale if you want to check them out: A lavender broomstick lace baby blanket: Green Loopy baby booties... and a soft pink hand crocheted baby blanket. These are just a few of the items that we have for sale.  If you would like to check out the rest of our inventory you can go to Etsy or to this link to see everything available. https://www.etsy.com/shop/rustycupboard?ref=hdr_shop_menu Have a fabulous day :) Tulips~n~Lace

More Easter Treats!!!!

Tulips~n~Lace Since I wasn't able to go visit my family for Easter this year, I wanted to send them some fun treats for Easter.  I decided to make these  Nutter Butter Chicks :) First you start with Nutter Butter cookies and mini chocolate chips and some sliced Starbursts.... Some yellow candy melts.... You melt the candy melts and then dip the  cookies in so it is covered in yellow :) Add some mini chocolate chips for the eyes and Starbursts triangles for the beak and feet. Now you now have some cute Nutter Butter Chicks that are very tasty :)

Easter Treats :)

This past Sunday was Easter Sunday : )  I don't know  about you, but I love the holidays.  This year we were spending Easter with my in-laws so I decided to make an appetizer tray to take to dinner. I found a recipe on Pinterest that looked fun so I started with a bread bowl (that I bought at the local grocery store).... Carefully cut off the top and hollowed out the bowl... I used olives for the eyes and nose. And a piece of celery for the mouth... Then I put it all together so it would look  like the Easter Bunny. In the bowl is Spinach dip and then I used sliced cucumbers and baby carrots to add color, with a  couple slices of french bread for the ears and the bread that we hollowed out of the bowl for the arms. It was a fun, healthy treat for Easter!!! Tulips~n~Lace

March 2014

My parents try to come visit my every year around my  birthday since we live about 5-6 hours away from each other. This year when my parents came down we decided to do some shopping and some thrifting :) One or our favorite craft stores to visit is Hobby Lobby!!! They have such fun, cool ideas there. Here is a picture of my mom looking at some  fun home decor.... My awesome parents taking a moment to pose  for the camera (I forgot to take my camera so I had to use my phone) Mom and I checking out these awesome dressers and stands.... And, of course, we had to try out these awesome chairs while looking at the  items around us... You know it is always fun to just take a selfie and see if you can get it to turn out somewhat cool :) Tulips~n~Lace
