Off for an adventure at the Farmer's Market!!!

This last weekend my parents came down to visit my husband and I.  We had such an awesome visit and so much fun hanging out together.  On Saturday we drove down to Boise to the Farmers Market.  Here is a picture of Nate and I walking up to the market. My mom got a picture of us from the side as we were looking around at all of the booths. A friend of ours sells pies at the market every summer so we had to stop and buy one to enjoy for dessert that night.  :)  Here is my dad, Nathan and I (I am holding the pie so they won't be tempted to eat it while we are looking around). Mom and Dad posing for a picture in front of the water fountain. We were having such a fun time.  Nathan and Dad are trying to decide who is going to get to carry the pie now!!!! Now it is time for us to find the perfect pumpkin for our house. Dad is holding the door open for Mom.  Wasn't that sweet of him?? Mom and I couldn't resist being silly and getting a pictur...

Ladies Retreat Weekend!!!

A few weekends ago I went to a Ladies Retreat with my friend Kristina.  It was a great time getting to know some really awesome women.  Here is a picture of the retreat building.  It is a campground/retreat that is owned by the Nazarene Church.  They rent it out to a lot of different groups. Here is my friend Kristina in front of the building where we were staying. And below is a picture of me in front of the building. This was the room that we were staying in...It had about 8 bunk beds in each of the rooms. Kristina and I were both on the top bunk beds. The campground hires a chef to prepare all of our meals.  This was our breakfast the first morning we were there. They had quite a bit of food prepared for us. Here is a picture of the building at night.  I thought it looked really neat with all of the lights on! We had some free time on Saturday.  Here is a picture of me making a card.  I am not real creative with this type of t...

Our first camping trip together!! Part 2

So one of the most fun things about Wallowa Lake is going up to the store for an ice cream cone.  They have wonderful and huge ice cream cones. Here is a picture of my parents, Nathan, his mom and brother and a couple of our friends enjoying their ice cream. My mom and a couple of our friends enjoying the ice cream.  Such a fun time :) Here is Nathan and his dad enjoying a cup of coffee outside of his parents camper. Nathan is looking at his phone getting ready for a golf tournament that he will be going to on Monday. He has his golf club out to practice with it.  I think he is trying to find the nearest golf course to us. So I decided to do a little bit of shopping.  Isn't this such a cute little store.  It is called Heidi's Towne Shoppe. Nathan is chatting with our friend Henry. Both just enjoying the scenery. On Sunday, we had a potluck with the families that we know that we're camping or had come up for the day. Here is my nephew Trevin t...

Our first camping trip together!!! Part 1

So it has been a tradition in both my family and my husband's family to go camping at Wallowa Lake State Park in Oregon for Labor Day weekend the past several years.  So this year, Nathan and I went camping over Labor Day weekend for our first camping trip together.  We had a lot of fun camping with both our families and several other families that we know. Here is a picture of our camp site.  We tented it this year. Here is Nathan, we were taking a few minutes to look at the fish in the creek. Here I am also enjoying a few minutes to look at the fish in the creek. My parents loved cooking breakfast outside.  The best part is that you can just drop everything on the ground while you are working on not worry about it. (Notice all the egg shells on the ground) Dad is running away, he doesn't want to have to clean up the mess that they made.... Okay, he decided it would be best to go back and clean up the mess from breakfast. Breakfast cooking away....

Our first house together!!!

Here are some pictures of Nate and my first apartment together.  This first picture is of our living room. You can tell Nate bought the tv : )  And when we aren't using the exercise ball to exercise, it makes a great footrest.  Perfect heighth for our couch. Here is our kitchen.  It is not very big, but it suits our purposes quite well. This is our dining room.  I like decorating my kitchen and dining area with apples and in red, white and black. Here is the hallway leading to our guest room. This is our guest bathroom and the picture below is a sideways look of our office. Our apartment is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  It is a good size for our first home together. We are having fun getting it all set up how we like it :)
